Manomasa crisps

I’ve been meaning to tell you about Manomasa tortillas for ages. I kept planning to pick up a few bags and take photos but every time I do we ended up eating them! So, I decided to use this photo I took the other month and just give you a short overview of the brand. That way, when I next get some to share in a review I’ll be able to go straight into talking about how delicious they are.

I discovered Manomasa last year and as always, they stood out on the shelf because of their fantastic packaging and branding. I often try new foods and drinks based upon their packaging. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, a tasty product often (but not always) correlates with excellent packaging. I’ve since been picking up a bag every now and then to enjoy with zingy guacamole! I’m pretty sure it was in Budgens here in Sheffield that I originally found out about the brand. That shop has since closed and I’ve been buying them from Waitrose and indie shops like the one in Roco.

There are 6 main flavours in the range; Manchego & Green Olive, Green Lemon & Pink Peppercorn, Chipotle & Lime, Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper, White Cheeder and Tomatillo Salsa. Each bag has a different shape of tortillas inside. I’ve also seen a few limited editions knocking about but they don’t seem to be on their site. There’s a full list of stockists on their website but if you’re based in Sheffield then you can find them easily in Waitrose.

I’ve had the Green Lemon & Pink Peppercorn tortillas a couple of times recently. They’re so zesty and perfect for anyone who loves a good citrusy kick to their tortillas. They’re made with creamy beans which adds to the unique texture and gives them a deeper flavour, or at least that’s what I think. They also have a really good crunch to them. These are tortillas are circles which you can blob a little guac on before crunching down. P and I like to make up bowl of chunky guacamole with extra chilli and mix up a batch of our favourite frozen margaritas to enjoy with them,. They all go so well together and are perfect for sharing with friends.

Have you tried Manomasa tortillas?
